Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Heather Adler

Dr. Heather Adler was an Eli Lilly scholarship recipient at DePauw University. She graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Biochemistry in 2006. Before attending Optometry school, Heather worked as a C.N.A. and E.M.T. inside a satellite clinic, emergency department, and ambulance services. She lived and served in Suchitoto, El Salvador completing medical mission work before finally deciding to become an optometrist. She graduated Cum Laude from U.C. Berkeley in 2010. While at Berkeley, Heather was president of her class, a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, and a teacher’s assistant to other young doctorate students.

Dr. Adler is passionate about taking a holistic approach to your eye care. William Shakespeare once said “The Eyes are the window to your soul” and while that may not be literally true, eyes do tell us a lot about your total body health. Dr. Adler believes in networking with other practitioners of various specialties to help her patients achieve their best whole body health.

Dr. Adler holds the highest level of Colorado optometric licensure. She is trained to examine, diagnose, and treat diseases and injuries of the eye, as well as to identify related systemic conditions affecting the eye.

Her professional interests are in the areas of glaucoma, ocular allergies, eye infections, eye diseases, and advanced contact lenses fitting – including Bifocal Contact Lenses, Keratoconus and ortho K. She also really enjoys teaching doctorate students. Dr. Adler is able to perform exams in English and Spanish.

Outside of work, Dr. Adler has children, dogs, chickens, and ducks. She enjoys urban farming, photography, and can regularly be seen staring through a telescope into outer space.
